This essay is an exploration of what it means to translate science into a fiction film. It is pretty straightforward to watch a (pre)historical film and point out mistakes, but it is suprisingly tricky to create a film that is fully in line with scientific facts. I presented this paper at the MetArh conference in Zagreb in November 2025.
